My mother was not happy about entering an Assisted Living Facility and was depressed the first couple of weeks upon entering Westfield. However, I knew things were going to be OK when we dropped her off after a family gathering and one of the staff members was on the steps to assist her inside. When she asked how her outing was she replied, “It was nice, but it’s good to be home.” Thank you, Westfield, for your patience as my mother transitioned to her new “HOME”

Westfield Assisted Living feels just like home, our father was impressed from the first visit, and couldn’t wait to move in. The staff is so inviting. Thank You, Westfield.

Since my mother’s arrival at Westfield Assisted Living 7 months ago, my sisters and I noted an improvement in her mental outlook. She is about to celebrate her 99th birthday. Her most difficult challenge is loss of memory and forgetfulness.
With staff on hand to guide and supervise her activities of daily living, she is comfortable, secure and safe. Mother enjoys the food and snacks that are severed throughout the day. She is encouraged to be active and uses her cane or walker to move about.
At every opportunity, she is drawn into conversation and socialization. We are able to visit each day or take her to our home for family events, etc.
She moved from her own apartment to Westfield after much encouragement. It is important to us, her daughters, to know that she is always clean and able to function as best she can. Her vision for far objects is poor. Mother is an independent woman who values making her own decisions.
Having her at Westfield Assisted Living is the best decision we could have made for her, given her age and limitations.
